Our Order of Worship
Ministry of Worship
This is a time in our service when we express our love for God.
This expression may take place in a variety of ways; singing, clapping, shouting, dancing, etc. Sometimes we worship in heavenly languages. You may worship in the way the Spirit of the Lord leads you, so long as it is decent and in order.
Ministry of Giving
This is a time in our service we thank and praise God for temporal blessings and for the privilege of expressing our gratitude in giving.
- Tithe Offering – ten percent of your income
- Thank Offering – an offering of thanks that is over and above your tithes and
- Love Offering- for the pastor or guest minister
- Offering towards the building
Ministry of the Word
This is a time our service when the Word of God is preached or taught. Although everyone is expected to listen attentively, there is absolutely nothing wrong with bearing witness to what has been said by saying, “Amen”, “Praise the Lord,” “Glory,” etc.
Ministry of the Spirit
This is the time in our service when we minister to those with specific needs (i.e., salvation, healing, and baptism in the Holy Spirit). It includes such things a prayer, counseling and the laying on of hands. Sometimes the gifts of the spirit come into operation as the ministry takes place.
THE WAY WE WORSHIP
Standing on our feet
“Stand up and bless the Lord your God forever and ever: and blessed be Thy glorious Name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.” Nehemiah 9:5
Clapping and Shouting
“O clap your hands all ye people, shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” Psalms 47:1
Lifting our Hands
“Lift up your hands in sanctuary, and bless the Lord. ” Psalms 134:2
With a Loud Voice
“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all the earth: make loud noise, and rejoice and sing praise.” Psalms 98:4
Praying and Singing in Tongues
“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the spirit and I will sing with the understanding also.” 1 Corinthians 14:14, 15
Singing Word Based Songs
“Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with race in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16
